We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Analyst to join our team and contribute to a critical project to design, implement, and manage a honeypot network integrated with a Python-based black hole router. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our organization’s cybersecurity posture by identifying and analyzing malicious activities while contributing to threat intelligence. This is a hands-on technical role requiring a strong background in cybersecurity, Linux systems, Python programming, and network protocols.Manage projects, develop processes and provide training. Monitors network activity and ensures information is protected from unauthorized users. Identify, research, report and resolve security violations. Provides guidance to IT departments on resolutions of violations.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain security plans, processes and procedures necessary to both normal day to day operation and disaster recovery situations.
Analyze and research to validate active sites and determine whether malicious and determine the best course for blocking. Configure server rules for blocking as appropriate.
Identify potential security risks and report to Information Security Manager. Open and track tickets with various IT departments.
Monitor security operations which includes, but is not limited to: tracking and monitoring of malicious software, vulnerability scanning and log collection.
Install and configure hardware and software that provides appropriate network and system security functionality.
Manage departmental projects as assigned.
Collect information for review by General Counsel or Research Integrity as instructed.
Develop processes, draft guidelines for review and perform information security training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
