Job Description:
What you'll do:
Manages a diverse team of engineering professionals performing research, development, design and/or implementation of products, services,
solutions for the companyʼs portfolio. Responsible for creating and communicating technical strategy within the organization and/or across the function.
Management Level Definition:
Responsible for operational success, strategic alignment and integration of
activities with other major organizational functions. Responsible for one or more recognized professional disciplines. Owns measurable functional, operational and
strategic goals or priorities. Contributes to the
overall strategic definition of a function with strong business acumen.
How You ́ll Make Your Mark:
Provides direct and ongoing leadership for an team of individual contributors designing and developing new products, enhancements and updates and managing projects for systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
Engages with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including, hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process
development.
Recruit, onboard, and train new team members, ensuring that the team possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Collaborate closely with (DTs), architects, and stakeholders in the United States to define project requirements, objectives, and priorities.
Implement and drive agile development methodologies, including Scrum, to improve team efficiency and product delivery.
Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met.
Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, facilitating their growth and development.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
Ensure the successful delivery of product features and enhancements, meeting customer expectations and business objectives.
What you need to bring:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field
Typically, 10+ or more years of related work experience with background of Engineering Manager role, including 2+ or more years of people management experience.
