This position works out of our corporate office downtown Indianapolis so ideal candidates need ot live within this area for commuting. The general hourly range is $22-$27/hr. including full benefits (below):
The Data Analyst III performs high-value analysis and data validation across the Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana (GCSI) organization. The Data Analyst III reports directly to the Manager, Program Evaluation & Analysis. This position performs the majority of analysis and requirement-gathering efforts for Goodwill, particularly in the areas of Mission and Education, and works with the various support and business areas throughout the organization to identify potential analysis opportunities to enhance the strength and performance of Goodwill while ensuring quality and high level of customer satisfaction. It is on the Corporate Impact and Analytics (CIA) team.
The Data Analyst III role collaborates with schools and programs across GCSI as well as the IT Team to ensure the data needs of the organization are met. This role should be a subject matter expert on the majority of education and mission programs, building strong relationships with those areas and providing business support and expertise to IT. The Data Analyst III is expected to present analysis findings to key stakeholders, including GCSI leadership, and provide training as needed. This position will also serve a major role in implementing and managing the GCSI Data Governance policy, and all related policies, and in the validation of data across the organization. This role’s primary function is to serve as a leading expert in data knowledge and analysis for GCSI.
Example Duties and Activities
Meets regularly with GCSI Education and Mission Team leadership to understand each program’s needs and to ensure all analysis, reporting, and project needs are being met.
Works closely with data leaders across the organization and the IT Department to ensure the Data Governance policy is being followed and to assist with cross-department data validation.
Provides data analysis, data visualizations, and advance reporting assistance as needed across the organization with a focus on continuous improvement and development.
Designs projects and is responsible for project oversight including design, requirement gathering, assigning tasks across the CIA and IT Teams, and ensuring timely and accurate results including tasks to be completed by this role, other roles within the CIA Team, and other IT professionals as needed.
Evaluates data, studies, surveys, and reports to deliver meaningful and actionable conclusions to the various business stakeholders. Presents the findings of a particular evaluation along with clearly articulating the process used to establish and support the findings.
Creates white papers and presents analysis findings to key stakeholders across the organization.
Guides the organization in establishing processes to collect critical information that will be necessary for later evaluation to ascertain the efficacy of services and data-supported recommendations for improvements to services.
Coordinates across the CIA Team and the IT Development Team to build and validate data visualizations (such as DOMO and Synergy Analytics) to ensure the organization's needs are being met.
Attends various internal and external meetings, serving on major new initiatives, completing special projects, and serving as an extension of IT leadership.
Networks across the organization and with strategic external partners to understand and best support the full scope of services.

Adept at using business intelligence systems and ensuring data quality, preferably in retail and/or non-profit data.
