What you’ll be doing

CIBC’s Privileged Access Management Support team is responsible for the level 2 operation support of CIBC's PAM and vaulting tool called CyberArk. As a co-op in this department, you will work with a team to assist in the mailbox management, troubleshoot end-user issues, incident and change management, vulnerability management, root-cause analysis, bulk onboarding of privileged accounts, generate and analyze operational reports, monthly metrics, and contribute in continuous improvement initiatives. You will also interface with Security Engineering and Application Lines of Business. Documentation will also be part of day-to-day tasks using Confluence, Jira, and Sharepoint.

Important information

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary Computer education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

How you'll succeed

  • Incident Management- You will assist in monitoring and taking action of incident tickets, troubleshoot end-user issues, and set expectations and ETA on resolution
  • Investigation Support– Investigate PAM operation issues, perform rootcause analysis, document findings, work with senior peers to find workaround and permanent countermeasure.  Provide support of information security and privacy incidents which may have potential impact to the organization.
  • Reporting and Documentation– Generate regular reports and assist in identifying gaps and course of action. Contribute in metrics analysis as needed. Document key findings and updates to share information to key stakeholders.
  • Communication Management- You have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions that involve analysis, interpretation, and assessment.
  • Organization. Your time management skills are strong and you are able to prioritize competing priorities to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Creativity. You are curious and enjoy working in a team to visualize and design innovative solutions
