About the Role
The Lecturer in Physiotherapy will contribute to teaching and teaching-related duties involving the creation, delivery and continuous quality improvement of university-level education with a focus on cardiorespiratory clinical teaching and learning.
Responsible for making an independent, inspiring and high-quality contribution to teaching using innovative teaching practices and technologies through curriculum design and review, and the creation and coordination of teaching activities, this role requires being concurrently engaged in a clinical or community setting as a Physiotherapist with clinical experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy,
The Lecturer also strengthens existing partnerships and explores new partnerships with external stakeholders that have the potential for providing improved teaching, learning and/or research outcomes for the University.

About You
With demonstrated excellence in teaching and performance at a tertiary level, you can successfully make an independent contribution to the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies both in the classroom and in clinical education, including student assessment.
With effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills, you have a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain successful relationships with staff, students and industry. You will possess and maintain a current unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA, along with being able to demonstrate:
A Doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent clinical experience and professional standing in Physiotherapy.
Relevant and contemporary clinical experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and ability to maintain concurrently within or outside of this position.
An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to Physiotherapy.
Evidence of reflective practice.
An understanding of the nexus between teaching and learning, research, scholarship and practice.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment
A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
It is a requirement of this position that the incumbent maintain a current Working with Children Check which is satisfactory to the University in accordance with the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA).
