Performs data management and/or data analysis for investigators using statistical packages. Assists investigators in the design of experiments, clinical trial and epidemiological studies.This position is primarily with the Translational Human Neurodegenerative Disease Research (THuNDR) Laboratory that serves as the Neuropathology Core for The Charles F. and Joanne Knight Alzheimer Disease Research Center, the Washington University Movement Disorders Center, the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI), The Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer Network (DIAN), and the DIAN Trials Unit (DIAN-TU). This individual will also interface with the Xiong Lab in the Center for Biostatistics, which will support the individual in working with these multiple large-scale projects to meet established standards and facilitate the individual’s growth within the biostatistics field.
This entry level position will assist with multiple research projects including coordination of large, multifaceted longitudinal research studies/projects by assisting with database design and implementation, data collection/management, and data quality control. Meets with supervisors and other staff members as needed to review progress.
This is a hybrid position that will require some on-site presence.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs data analysis and/or data management for investigators using statistical packages (SAS, R, Python and STATA) including generation of tables and graphs.
- Assists investigators in the design of experiments, clinical trials, epidemiological, and longitudinal studies.
- Assists in database design, implementation and maintenance of data collected over time for research purposes, including acquisition, editing and reporting.
- May assist in design and development of data entry systems. Utilize REDCap and other EDC systems as required for generation of such forms and reports.
- May function as a statistical consultant primarily in collaborative studies involving the medical school community.
