Job Summary
Will support artificial intelligence research related to language acquisition, as well as administrative functions related to that work.
Qualifications
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Indicate key areas of responsibility, major job duties, special projects and key objectives for this position. Indicate approximate % of time spent on each responsibility and list in order from greatest % to lowest, totaling 100%.
Administrative tasks such as assisting in recruiting and onboarding new lab members; handling purchases; assisting with grant-writing; organizing the lab schedule; and maintaining documentation. Research activities include designing and running machine learning models, obtaining and curating training data, running and analyzing experiments, and liaising with collaborators.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS (MUST be realistic and related to the essential functions of the job.)
An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, as well as at least a year of prior research experience. Proficiency in Python or R is required. Significant experience with machine learning, Bayesian modeling, or other artificial intelligence methods is required. Coursework or research experience related to language science is desired. Proficiency in Mandarin is desired.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED (MUST be realistic and related to the essential functions of the job.)
Attention to detail and excellent record-keeping abilities.
Proficiency in Python or R.
Prior documented work using artificial intelligence models.
Ability to write and present research with support from more senior lab members.
