About the Role
An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Grade 3 Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy department. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high quality, overall physiotherapy management to the rehabilitation patients of the St George's campus of St Vincent’s Hospital.
Responsibilities will include clinical leadership, as well as responsibility for the operational and strategic management of the sub-acute team at St George's Hospital and the wider physiotherapy service. The position involves being responsible for quality activities and research projects within the subacute team. The role is also responsible for supervision of junior staff, and Allied Health Assistants and other duties as directed/delegated.

Must have, or be currently eligible for National Physiotherapist Registration.
Classifications for this position will range from VB7 – VC1 ($102,091 - $116,646 per annum).
Duties include
Provide leadership and co-ordination of the rehabilitation team
Provide assessment and clinical management to patients in the rehabilitation unit, including neurological, amputees and other
Supervision and management of the clinical education program for undergraduate students
Provide a tertiary level of consultancy in outlying wards as required
Involvement in multidisciplinary ward meetings and planning
Lead research and/or quality improvement activities in the rehabilitation team
Your contribution
Minimum seven years of post-graduate experience
Post-graduate qualification in relevant area of physiotherapy (or working towards) would be highly regarded

Demonstrated leadership skills and extensive experience in the supervision and professional development of physiotherapists, students and support staff.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Current nationally coordinated criminal history check, or willing to obtain
