Job Description

This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford or Mountain View], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. 

Vedo Studio is an advanced tool suite for creating immersive and engaging 3D visualizations. We enable creators to author, manage, and deploy high-quality, scalable 3D assets that power cutting-edge experiences. As part of our growing team, you will help define and shape the next generation of authoring tools, ensuring Vedo Studio is both intuitive for users and powerful for developers. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

Technical Leadership & Execution 

  • Own the technical strategy and roadmap for Vedo Studio’s authoring tools, ensuring alignment with business goals. 

  • Drive the design, development, and scaling of core client, framework, and services technologies. 

  • Evaluate architectural trade-offs, balancing performance, scalability, and developer experience. 

  • Champion best practices in software quality, testing, and continuous integration. 

  • Lead cross-functional engineering efforts and ensure seamless collaboration across teams. 

Team Leadership & Growth 

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering technical excellence and career development. 

  • Establish a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture, emphasizing continuous learning and innovation. 

  • Ensure strong cross-team communication and alignment between engineering, product, and design teams. 

  • Advocate for engineering productivity improvements and drive process optimizations across the development lifecycle. 

Product & Stakeholder Collaboration 

  • Partner with product and design teams to define and deliver key features that enhance the creator experience. 

  • Engage with stakeholders to prioritize technical initiatives and ensure engineering investments align with strategic goals. 

  • Provide technical insights and communicate complex engineering trade-offs to leadership.JOB IS FROM: italents.netVIEW 

  • Drive the adoption of AI and automation to optimize asset creation and management within Vedo Studio. 

 

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) 

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in an engineering management role. 

  • Strong experience with Unreal Engine, game engines, or 3D visualization frameworks. 

  • Expertise in software architecture, scalability, and performance optimization. 

  • Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Blueprint, with a solid understanding of 3D graphics pipelines. 

  • Experience leading teams that build developer tooling, CAD visualization tools, or authoring platforms. 

  • Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and performance profiling in complex systems. 

  • Proven ability to mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and drive team-wide initiatives.

  • Experience working with OpenUSD, WebGL, GLTF, or MaterialX. 

  • Background in AI-powered automation or procedural content generation for 3D assets. 

  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployment for 3D applications. 

  • Strong knowledge of algorithm design and optimization techniques for high-performance rendering. 

  • Passion for creating best-in-class tools for content creators and developers.

This job may be eligible for relocation benefits. 

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington. 
The salary range for this role is $165,000 and $253,200. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
