The job in a nutshell

Our IAM team ensures that identity and access management measures meet quality and performance expectations. We proactively improve our organizational processes and build relationships with key individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve our goals.

As an intern, you will collaborate with a Lead or Senior Analyst to develop and implement a project focused on IAM. You will be fully involved in project conceptualization, and we welcome your ideas on how to deliver it effectively. Your project may involve working with teams such as Application Support, Information Security, Development, Infrastructure, Audit, Risk, Automation & Robotics, and service teams. You will work closely with the IAM team to improve IAM processes, such as creating guidelines around controls, streamlining, and enhancing the process.

Together, we can shape a project with one or more components, matching our priorities and your interests, in areas such as:

• Enhancing IAM processes, including creating guidelines around controls and streamlining procedures.

• Integrating IAM solutions with existing systems and applications.
• Automating IAM workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Conducting IAM audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Building live and interactive IAM reporting and dashboards using ServiceNow and PowerBI.

This would be your future internship because you:

• Are a motivated bachelors or master’s student with an interest and/or background in Security or similar.
• A goal driven, communicative, creative person, that can combine technical and personal skills.
• Eager to learn and develop.

• Are not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
• Can join us from May/June 2025, are available for 3-6 months, 5 days a week. For the right candidate we can be flexible in this.

Who will be your new colleagues?

As an IAM Intern, you will join a team of 11 in our global Data Protection and Application Security team, based in three geographical locations (The Hague, Edinburgh, and Cedar Rapids). We communicate in English. We are self-driven and collaborative, bringing others along on improvement initiatives. When implementing or reviewing IAM processes and systems, we adapt to changes in the way we do business and streamline our ways of working.

You will be located at our headquarters in The Hague, the Netherlands. From May 2025, our office will relocate to Schiphol, Amsterdam. While we operate on a hybrid model with 2 days a week in the office, you are welcome to come more often and connect with our colleagues from other departments.  

Important note:
It is required to be enrolled at a university to take part in this internship. Next to that you will need a Dutch BSN-number and Dutch bank account. If you are a non-EU/EER student, you will need a valid residence permit stating that you may work ('arbeid vrij toegestaan'). Applications that do not fulfill these criteria cannot be taken into consideration.
