Impact & contribution
As a Software engineer, you will be part of a squad within the Customer Data management crew and play key role in delivering key capabilities like building the API s to integrate CBA systems and working on the digitisations of the existing components.
You will be working with other engineers across teams and geographies on uplifting business capabilities and modernise our tech stack. We offer regular opportunities to work on some of the finest IT systems in Australia, as well as opportunity to develop careers across different functions and teams within the wider crew.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Building developing and deploying high quality software solutions.
- Can own and develop technical strategy and guidance, overseeing medium to complex engineering initiatives.
- Strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes through technology.
- Thought leadership across projects and delivery teams.
- Can take responsibility for nominated technical assets related to areas of expertise including roadmaps and technical direction.
- Have the ability to collaborate, present ideas, perform reviews and mentor other junior engineers
Essential Skills:
- Experienced Data Engineer with strong skills in data analysis having strong proficiency in PL/SQL.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Effectively prioritise work and deliverables according to specified timeframes.
- The Ability to work in an AGILE environment. Experience in an Agile environment is highly regarded.
- Knowledgeable in creating test scripts and writing test plans. Assist in the development and execution of automated test scripts.
- Experience of Test Automation suite/framework and aware of Quality Engineering Practices.
- Automation testing specific experience in - spring boot, Java, Cucumber, JPA(Hibernate), Sql (these are few tools used by our QA engineers)
- Provide support and participate in testing activities including unit testing and system testing ensuring adequate project coverage.
- Experience in Banking / Financial domain are favourable/good to have - Payments, AML, Sanctions
- Good to have - Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS)
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
