Role: Data Analyst

Department: JBS Research (Gurugram)

Reporting to: Manager - Research

Key Stakeholders: Clients, Internal Team Members

Direct Reports: NA

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in database management, ETL processes, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and analyze complex datasets using relational database systems
• Perform ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accessibility
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Maintain version control of data-related projects and documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data quality and efficiency

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2 year of experience as a Data Analyst in a corporate environment
• Proficiency in relational database systems (MS SQL Server preferred, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with data modeling techniques and ability to read ERD diagrams
• At least basic knowledge of one of the following: Python, R, Java, JavaScript, (VBAScript)
• Basic experience with ETL processes
• Working knowledge of Git or other version control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Proven ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and architectures
• Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica)
• Experience creating charts and graphs in MS Excel or MS PowerPoint
• Familiarity with BI reporting / visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and methodologies

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field
