Airbus Commercial looking for an Embedded Software Development Engineer (m/f) in Toulouse. You will join the "Avionics Software" department, within "Avionics and Simulation products" engineering domain.

This organization is an in-house avionics equipment and simulators supplier. Engineers in this domain are responsible for the design, the development, the production and the support of critical embedded products (e.g. Flight Controls, Flight Warning, Communication, Maintenance equipment) for all Airbus aircraft.

This organization is also Chamber of Reference on Software and Electronics thanks to accomplished and experienced teams. The scope of activities also extends to other Airbus divisions and partners in some cases.

As successful candidate, you will be in charge of developing avionics real-time software, and more specifically new features and new components on Critical System DO178 DAL-A to DAL-D. You will have to implement all the steps of the development cycle process as well as the associated software engineering in terms of methods and tools, airworthiness rules, by ensuring the trade-offs on technical, business and industrial goals.

You will design and develop software products for the vehicle functions and data management (networks, avionics and open platforms) matching the required safety, quality and performance levels according to Airbus systems engineering processes and the needs of our customers.

This job is requiring strong technical skills on Embedded Critical System.

You will join a software team in charge of the development of the software components which are part of embedded avionics applications such as Flight Controls, to run on specific or modular hardware platforms.

In an environment with industrial and certification constraints (DO178B and C, DAL A to D software), you will:

• Develop embedded real-time software following development process from the high-level specification analysis to the integration and the validation on the definitive hardware.

• Value the customer needs and challenge them to propose common and reusable solutions.

• Achieve the integration and verification activities with the hardware using test means such as probes, bus analyzers and emulators.

• Ensure the related support activity: failure report analysis, answer to technical requests.

• Improve the ways of working; bring new design solutions and technologies.

• Define, follow-up and receipt the subcontracted activities and deliverables, in conformity with the subcontracting management rules.

• Manage your activities following the expected schedule, budget and quality.

• Participate to the improvement of the Department performance.

You will also participate to some software Chamber of Reference activities such as assessments of Airbus equipment suppliers.

You will report to a manager accountable for set of avionics software products inside an agile organisation with dynamic role assignments.

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Software skills: Operating system, Computers architecture, Processors architecture

• Critical Real-Time embedded software development vs certification (DO178-C, DAL-A to DAL D) 

• Programming languages: C in embedded context

• Software engineering methods and tools (standard DEVOPS environment)

• Open mind-set, good communication skills and good team working

Follow skills would be additional assets:

• V cycle development process: specification, architecture, design, coding, integration, verification, support

You are recognized for being a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

An advanced level of English and French is required.

Airbus Commercial recherche un ingénieur Développement Logiciel Embarqué (m/f) à Toulouse. Vous rejoindrez le département “Avionics Software” dans le domaine d'ingénierie 3Avionics and Simulation products".

Cette entité est l’équipementier interne pour les produits avioniques et de simulation. Les ingénieurs dans ce domaine sont responsables du design, du développement, de la production et du support de produits critiques embarqués (Commandes de Vol, Système d’alerte, Communication, Maintenance) pour tous les programmes avion Airbus.

Cette entité est également “Chambre de Référence” en logiciel et électronique grâce à des équipes aguerries et expérimentées. Le champ d’activités s’étend à d’autres divisions d’Airbus et d’autres partenaires dans certains cas.

Si vous êtes retenu sur ce poste, vous serez en charge du développement de logiciels avioniques temps réels, et plus particulièrement de nouvelles fonctionnalités et nouveaux composants sur des systèmes critiques DO178 DAL-A -> DAL D. Vous aurez à implémenter toutes les étapes du cycle de développement, à effectuer des études en prenant en compte les objectifs techniques, business et industriels.

Le poste consiste à concevoir et développer des logiciels pour des fonctions avion ou de la gestion de ressources (réseaux, avionics, "open platform"). Il faudra respecter les exigences safety, qualité et le niveau de performance, en accord avec les process Systems Enginnering d'Airbus et les besoins des clients.

Ce poste nécessite des compétences techniques sur les systèmes critiques embarqués.

Dans un environnement contraint industriellement et par les règles de certification (DO178B and C, DAL A to D software):

• Vous participerez au développement de logiciels embarqués temps réel, en suivant le cycle complet de développement, de l’analyse de spécifications à la validation avec l’équipement final.

• Vous appréhendez les besoins clients et les challengez pour proposer des solutions communes et réutilisables.

• Vous assurerez les activités d'intégration et de vérifications avec l’équipement physique, en utilisant les moyens d’essais adaptés (capteurs, analyseurs, simulateurs)

• Vous assurerez les activités de support (analyse de rapport de panne, réponse technique à des requêtes)

• Vous contribuerez à améliorer les méthodes de travail, en proposant des nouvelles solutions / technologies.

• Vous contribuerez au suivant des activités et livrables sous-traitées, en conformité avec les règles de gestion de la sous-traitance

• Vous participerez à améliorer la performance du département

Dans le cadre de la Chambre de Référence, vous contribuerez également à des activités telles que l’évaluation des équipementiers, fournisseurs d’Airbus.

Vous sera rattaché à un manager responsable d’un set de produits avionics au sein d’une organisation agile et dynamic.

En terme de compétence, vous aurez une expérience:

• Compétence Logiciels : Operating System, Architecture Calculateurs & Processors

• Développement de logiciels de systèmes critiques embarqués temps réel 

• Certification pour logiciels embarqués (DO178-C, DAL-A to DAL D) 

• Langage de programmation: C dans un context de logiciel embarqué

• Méthode et outils d’ingénierie logiciel (environnement DEVOPS)

Les compétences suivantes seraient un atout additionnel:

• Process de développement du  cycle en V : spécification, architecture, design, code, integration, vérification et support

Un niveau avancé en Anglais et Français est requis.
