Hybrid role: San Diego, CA and Dallas, TX-Tuesday and Thursday in Office

Job Summary

    The Manager, Software Development contributes to helping team members overcome obstacles, guides them to tackle complicated problems, and ensures the organization stays passionate about delivering business value to our customers. The Manager champions agile standard processes as part of the product delivery responsibility and a keen focus on customer success will see them be accountable for the operational quality and availability of the team’s deliveries.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Leads and develops a team with individual objectives, task management, 1:1’s, annual reviews, status reports, and project planning.
    • Coordinates technology roadmap with the engineering and leadership teams to improve the underlying costs and capabilities.
    • Coordinates and leads development processes to drive efficient workflow through the processes and continuous integration.

    • Adheres to coding policies, user documentation, and operational discipline as defined by the development policy.
    • Participates in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (Agile, Kanban & Waterfall) including technical requirement analysis, technical design, development, testing, code deployment, and production support.
    • Maintains and migrates the legacy technology layers to everyday industry standard technologies.
    • Manages vendors and subcontractors (including offshore and out-of-time zone).
    • Provides mentorship and guidance to a multi-disciplined team providing mentors and demonstrating technical excellence through standard processes.

    Key Skills

    • Excellent verbal skills for team leadership, software release documentation, client response, and leadership team updates
    • Proven leadership skills with an emphasis on timely quality delivery
    • Knowledge of Data Warehouse design with integration into Business Analytics systems
    • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Software as a Service (SaaS), Web Services, Web Services Description Language(WSDL)
    • Simple Object Access Protocol(SOAP), Representational State Transfer(REST) and Remote Procedure Call(RPC), JavaScript Object Notation(JSON), Microservices, Web Content Management Technologies

    Qualifications

      Education & Years of Experience

      • Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 9-11 years of work experience

      Additional Experience

      • Hands-on development experience with modern languages
      • Experience leading a team
      • Recent experience delivering NET-based software and modern continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) preferred
      • Proven understanding of cloud platforms, Azure preferred

      • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
      • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

        Pay Rate

        $146,500 - $174,500 Salary

        Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
