Within BB Technology, we are the Customer Channel and Data Domain focusing on technology enablement of digital engagement channels, contributing to strategic BB and Customer NPS +30 outcomes.
As a Staff Engineer, you will be leading and co-ordinating the implementation of the banker workbench application, instilling a growth mindset and innovative ways of working. You’ll play an important role in steering the organisation by providing expert advice and hands-on delivery relating to technology, solution design and architecture, and managing dependencies with cross-divisional technology teams.
You will bring a perfect blend of technical leadership and expertise and will be responsible for shaping the evolution of the technical squad by contributing to the technology strategy, defining delivery roadmaps, and developing technical solutions in a SaaS and cloud-based environment, building out the core technology and domain knowledge required for the team.

Have solid hands-on Banking and financial services experience in a complex environment
Pride themselves on their ability to build solutions to meet the highest possible quality standards while simultaneously balancing security, performance, availability, and maintainability concerns
Have solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices
Are constantly collaborating within the team to apply the principles of design, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation
Are actively involved in continuous learning, experimentation, and participate in peer code reviews

Tech skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:
Designing and developing applications using C#, .NET Core and databases such as SQL Server and Aurora DB
Designing and developing web applications using Next.js, TypeScript and related front-end technologies, such as React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Performing thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal functionality, reliability, and security
Knowledge of state management libraries, such as Redux or MobX
Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms – AWS or Azure
Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, scheduling tools, logging and monitoring tools (TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Snyk and Sonarqube)
