The data analyst will be responsible for leveraging data insights to identify
opportunities for improvement, recommend and implement data-driven
solutions, and ultimately empower the company to achieve its digital vision.

Key Result Areas

Data Management:

• Design and oversee the company wide data management strategy aligned to the DCAM model, ensuring that all data-related activities align with organizational priorities.
• Champion data as a strategic asset, establishing standards for data governance, data quality, and stewardship.
• Report on progress of data management strategy and activities to both local and group data management forums.

Data Analytics & Insight Generation:

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover insights into customer behaviour, market trends, and operational performance.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for real-time and periodic data-driven decision-making.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable business recommendations for product, marketing, and leadership teams.

Data Quality & Governance:

• Recommend and implement processes and tools to improve data quality, consistency, completeness, and accuracy across the organization.
• Collaborate with data stewards and business teams to define and monitor data quality rules and resolve data integrity issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal data governance policies and external regulatory requirements.

Collaboration & Data Enablement:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, actuarial, marketing, operations, customer experience and compliance to enable effective use of data in their domains.
• Promote a culture of data ownership and literacy through training, support, and cross-team initiatives.
• Support automation and optimization of data-related processes and reporting.

Innovation & Capability Building:

• Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in data management and analytics.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend tools or methodologies that improve analytics efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
• Advocate for best practices in metadata management, data lineage, and secure data access.
